Browsing a local antique market one day, I totaly unexpected, found this set of sample books. Binded in bordeau-red carton, looking nothing attractive at all. To my surprise they contained these very nice textures and fairly bold colours!



They are interior fabrics (upholstery or curtains), thick quality mixtures of cotton, linen and rayon.

Picture them on a vintage Scandinavian design chair...   Yes indeed, very fifties ...

There's more, this palette in fact is very up to date! Look at the greens, the blues and the reds. Don't forget the yellow, as rising accent colour.

True, today we would shake up the colours and organize the groups differently. Perhaps add a deep black and a bright white to dramatise the effect in some pattern designs. This palette has so many facets, the combination possibilities are virtually inexhaustible. Give it a go !
