Upcycling is converting waste materials and useless products into new materials or finished products with a higher environmental value and a better quality.
When visiting Intirio Gent last January I noticed these fabulous carpets by Posh Fashionation. The black carpet has a cotton base. It was woven from old cassette tapes giving it this glossy and firm look. The checkered one is hand woven in India with a weft of rolled candy wrappers !
